Dario Maksic studied at the University of Zagreb, where he first discovered his passion for hospitality, gastronomy and wines.
He later moved from his hometown of Zagreb, to the coast, where he launched his career.
Dario's love for world travel was incorporated in the influence, style, fondness for architecture and love for restoration of his boutique hotels. The interior of Barba Zuane is an extension of this business, and all his own, with the intention of creation of a unique and unforgettable dining experience.
As a business professional, Maria Maksić has spent most of her life in Zagreb, working in financial management. This extensive knowledge and experience is now carried over as she delegates the family hotel and restaurant business.
